The Masterplan comprised mixed retail, office and residential uses in an under-invested yet historic part of the city. RealWorth assessed the potential to optimise social across the scheme and authored a report which contained material to compliment and evidence U+I’s proposals.
The report contained an analysis of the social and economic indicators of the surrounding area and predicted the likely impact of the new scheme on nearby neighbourhoods. The report also included recommendations on how to further improve the social value of the scheme, with a view to promoting sustainable change in the local area and the wider city. An economic analysis of the employment opportunities was also included in the report, expressed as best, and worst-case scenarios.
