Co-founder of RealWorth Erik Bichard has been invited by the Competence Centre for Non-profit Organisations and Social Entrepreneurship at the Vienna University of Economics and Business to lead a one-day workshop on “Methods of Valuing Social and Environmental Change in the Built Environment.”
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 14th September 2016, 9am–5pm at Campus WU, Welthandelsplatz 1, 1020 Vienna in Austria. The workshop seeks to help attendees to explore and understand how the Real Worth team is implementing Sustainable Return on Investment (SuROI). It will explain the philosophy and technical aspects of SuROI, and give attendees the opportunity to experience the approach through a number of interactive exercises. Prof. Bichard will offer the proposition that SuROI has the potential to aid sustainable decisions for private, public and third sector developers, and will also help those that seek to regulate or enhance these proposals.
This workshop will be of interest to a range of practitioners and decision-makers that seek to choose the best options that involve social and environmental change for stakeholders. Sectors that have engaged with SuROI include funders (including banks) and grant bodies, developers and architects, social housing providers, city and national government departments, and elements of the not-for-profit sector. It will also attract academics from disciplines including planning, economics, business, engineering and life sciences.
Details of the workshop can be found on the Vienna University of Economics and Business webpage here
